Stunning green and 24k gold sommerso Cordonato d’Oro bowl with stunning encased gold ropes and an exceptional shape and size.
The vase has an art deco fan shape is with luxurious gold encased in a ribbed body rising to a fan opening the fan sits on a clear round plinth.
Cordonato d’Oro was a technique used by Ercole Barovier, c. 1950. Cordonato d’Oro in english translates to Rope of gold. It is literally 24 carat gold leaf twisted to look almost like a rope.

CONDITION: Perfect vintage condition with very little evidence of use, no chips, scratches or marks or any kind, it has very light wear/movement marks on base which considering this bowl is around 70 years old is amazing.
